Hi there.
I have a question to ask though I'm not sure whether this is the right forum.
But I'd appreciate it a lot if you can address my concern.

I am in a stock exchange business, it's not really huge and it's just me alone.
I would like to register a business name but I don't know if it's possible to register a business name and I only do stock trading.

Also, what is the difference between SEC and DTI?

Thank you so much.

Cheers,
Larrah

DTI - The Philippines’ Department of Trade and Industry (Filipino: Kagawaran ng Kalakalan at Industriya), abbreviated as DTI is the executive department of the Philippine Government tasked to expand Philippine trade, industries and investments as the means to generate jobs and raise incomes for Filipinos. It acts as catalyst for intensified private sector activity in order to accelerate and sustain economic growth through comprehensive industrial growth strategy, progressive and socially responsible trade liberalization and deregulation programs and policymaking designed for the expansion and diversification of Philippine trade - both domestic and foreign.

SEC - The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (Filipino: Komisyon sa mga Panagot at Palitan, commonly known as SEC) is a Philippine state commission responsible for securities laws and regulating the securities industry. The SEC is an agency within the Philippine Department of Finance.

for registration purpose

DTI - registration for sole proprietor business.

SEC - registration for corp and partnership
