« on: October 02, 2006, 08:32:01 pm »

Think Rich Pinoy!       by Larry Gamboa

In fact, my friend asked me kung gusto ko raw ma meet si Larry,
unfortunately gabi lang pwede si Larry sa Makati every Wednesday daw, can play cashflow 101 with his group. Hindi ako pwede so i declined..sayang.

Anyway, i shared my thoughts with some of my friends regarding this book, at pinabili ko sila.  :D
salamat at di sila nagsisi sa pagbili.

Para sa akin, he could be the local version of RK's principle in RDPD..another way of getting out of the never ending rat race.  ;D

just read the book and i thank the people who recommended it to me. there couldn't be any better time for me to come across this book.

in my opinion, it is actually better than RDPD since it applies and actually happened in the Philippines

and it's more realistic that RDPD

IT'S A MUST-READ BOOK!

i just wish i could meet Larry Gamboa too

I had read this book too, many times, and in fact,i also posted some comments about this book here in this forum. It is very inspiring for most starting entrepreneurs since the book details numbers and some other important transactions in real state business in layman's terms. There is one member in here who disagree about Larry Gamboa's principles but still I insist that its not bad to apply his principles in actual business. But still,of course,we must do our homework first before venturing into some business even if we thought that our idea will be a hit.We are blessed to have our fellow Filipinos sharing their best knowledge about business...

ms. etten I also read this book, and nakaka inspire talaga, gusto ko rin nga sanag masundan ang yapak nya..nakapag inquire na nga ako ng properties na ino-auction ng mga banks...and he's right you only need 25k show money to bid in an auctioned property, at ang dami talagang foreclosed properties ng banks natin...kaya lang sa sobrang ka busy-han, na udlot na naman. siguro dapat ko na ulit seryosohin ito.

Talaga, tuloy pa rin ba ang every wednesday game nila sa makati, up to now? I wish na sana ma-meet ko rin sya one day...I also wish na makapag laro ng cashflow 101. :)

nabili ng anak ko ang Think Rich Pinoy last August, P160.00 lang because of the discounted price.

my activity after reading this book:

nag abang ng Sunday, bumili ng Bulletin Today newspaper at hinugot ang classified ads nila.
Dun pa lang sa 1st step na yun, madami na kong natutunan.
Nag tingin tingin ako ng properties for auction, as in nag "tripping"  ;D, and nag enjoy ako ng husto.

Great! I also love the book kaya lang nawala sa bahay. My mother keeps on moving things at home everytime she comes home so there. I think what's good about the book is that it is written for the Filipinos. I think it is the best book I've ever read about business and real estate in particular. I've also read the RDPD but I thought, "How am I gonna apply it here in the Philippines?" He wrote in his book that prior to attaining his wealth he and his family lived I think in his friend's basement because he had nothing. Sa kanila, very poor na yung ganun but there are lots of job opportunities in AMerica na pwede nyang pag-umpisahan unlike here in the PINAS na ang per day na pay is by the hour sa mga low earners sa America.
Anyway, I really, really like the book of Mr. Larry Gamboa. I just hope I could find the book. By the way people, don't be just a fan of the book, do as what Mr. Gamboa did...
There's no other day but today...

I haven't read the book but has anyone here managed to duplicate the techniques successfully?  :)

there is only one way to find out... let's apply it! when i organized a cashflow101 game in rockwell, the game is just my second agenda. ang main agenda ko talaga is to start a group of real estate investors na for a start i-apply ang teachings ni rich dad and larry gamboa. mahirap kasi i-risk ang pangdownpayment kung magpapractice pa lang.. so i thought of coming up with a group of like-minded individuals na gustong ipractice ang think rich pinoy.

my plan for the group are the following:
* set up objectives and mission-vision of the group and talk about how much the investment of every members of the group, each and everyone's responsibilities (marketing, tripping, renovation, etc.), distribution of profits, etc.
* attend the cashflow101 game of larry gamboa and interview him deeply about the subject of buying foreclosed property and earn money via the rent-to-own system.
* after practicing the rent-to-own system, we study other real estate systems.
* after practicing other systems of real estate, we can then venture to other investment vehicles other than real estate.

well these were just plans... hindi natuloy cause nobody attended the cashflow101 game i organized. only wavemaker (who is also interested with my plans) and his friend.

but personally, i think, the experience of larry gamboa is VERY duplicable kasi kung may pang-downpayment ka naman plus the other start-up expenses (renovation and marketing) and may market ka for your rent-to-own apartment, why not. e its just like renting naman eh..

the first property i was so interested about but didn't buy:

a studio condo unit in QC. It was priced at 1.075M remove the discount, it will amount to

roughly 880k. I procrastinated, and the effect? It was sold to another buyer. When I surveyed the

building, all studio units there are being sold at 1.2M. Sayang! I should have profit 300k na sana.

My first lesson? Don't procrastinate. After you see a property, survey agad, and if you think it is a good buy, then don't waste time, just do it!

 :) :) :)

back to square 1...but it's ok, it's worth the journey..
