Bullrun2:

Do you still have other schedules for the month of October?  As I understand, this will be about day trading where we have to sell back the stock we earlier bought within the day or perhaps in the next few days.  While I would like to learn from it, I am also interested on ways where we can purchase a stock that we can hold on for a longer period and it will be up to our decision as to when to sell it.  That we can hold stocks to whenever we want to have it.  I hope this will be tackled.

Thanks.
Marben

Citiseconline Stockbrokers are getting aggressive in the market. They just completed a 2-day seminar held in Cebu City Marriott Hotel last week. I just opened an account & I hope to start buying (not trading yet) some stocks this week. What better way than buying COL stocks then.

It is important that we become "aware" that these programs are available & to understand how these works. While I promote the 20% p.a. (Tax-Free) bank time deposits, its mechanics can be viewed at http://philbankingproducts.blogspot.com/, it is also good to learn how to trade stocks as well as other investment vehicles, including but not limited to UITFs, Mutual Funds, VULs, etc.

Isn't it that you broker only allow day trading in stock market?  Or they also offer that service where we can keep the stock for a longer period other than day trading...

ako muna sasagot sa tanong mo ha...there's no such thing as only day trading brokerage firms.  Buying and selling of stocks depends on you.  kung kelan mo gusto ibenta kung gano mo katagal i keep ang stock mo walang broker magsasabi sa yo pero pag kita lang ang gusto nang stock agent/broker mo (meaning this broker of yours lacks a certain professinal ethics) he/she would definitely advise you to trade as much as often as possible para dumami commision nya sa yo na makuha.  Remember you pay commisions, loss or in profit,  when you buy and sell your stocks.  Walang pakialam sila kung may kita ka man o wala, basta sila sigurado may kita. ;D.  Dito mo malalaman kung professional ang stock agent o broker mo at hindi lang after sa commision makuha sa yo.    sana nakatulong man lang kahit konti :)

Thanks Wein, but that probably apply to online brokers in US.  Here in the Philippines, there are only I think 8 online brokers (you can check with PSE) and they only allow day trading.  I don't know yet with those brokers who are not online.

I'm using online brokers - day trading - bec trading hours is only from 9:30 to 12:30.. but, one will be able to place off-hours order (buying/selling).

I also encourage Filipinos to invest or trade the stock market. Empower our local stock market industry. But of course, just like any other business or venture, do due diligence.  ;)
One should make use of tools that will enable him/her to maximize profit during the bull and preserve capital during the bear season.

Mabuhay!
