I have signed up for the plan 450 with Sun Cellular. Its a line only service, so I only have the sim card for the "Post-Paid" plan. This plan includes Unlimited Calls and SMS (Sun-to-Sun) - which I have no problems with.
I'm having issues with other freebie (FREE 20 HOURS of INTERNET)
To start of; the Sun Shop Representative was very helpful and enthusiastic when it comes to signing me up to the service (Probably for the spiffs after a successful sale) I asked the Rep if there's anything that I need to know in regards to how the bill will work, and he answered, "Wala naman sir, OK na yan, Ma-aactivate yung sim card mo after 24Hours" - Which is pretty good because my sim card was activated after 2 hours(12-May-2012). So I made the "ADVANCE PAYMENT"- thats what they call it. P450.00
(25-May-2012) I'm Happy using the service the service until a txt message came thru saying that I have used 70% of my "Credit Limit", and so I said "Ah, May Credit Limit pala" so I stopped using the Internet on my phone, (26-May-2012) My Service Has been Suspended! And I was like, "WTF?! kala ko 70% pa lang? (I'm not making any other calls or SMS apart from Sun-to-Sun), And so I called customer service and they informed me that my account was on "Pro-Rata", so Part-Month Allowance and charges lang yung naibigay sakin. And I'm cool with that.
Me: "Eh, nagbayad ako in-advance diba?".
Consultant: Sir? Yung binayaran nyo po na advance ma-ke-Credit lang po sa account nyo pag nag-terminate na kayo ng service."
Me: "Ok, sana "DEPOSIT" ang tawag nyo dun hindi "ADVANCE". I'm assuming tuloy na bayad na ako hanggang June."
And the consultant informed me that my "Billing Cycle" starts on the 21st of every month (For God's sake its already the 25th of the month, 'bat ngayon lang na-suspend yung service, eh dapat reset na yung allowance ko?.) So, No dramas, I've paid what whatever it is thats need to be paid (I've paid another P450.00 on that same day to have may service reconnected, so I am in credit of P120.00 or so. after 4 hours my line got reconnected). In less than 1 month I've paid P900.00.

I recieved another message saying that I'm at 90% of my Credit Limt. Its only the 1st of June. And as usual I stopped using the Internet on my phone thinking that I have used up the Free 20 Hours of Internet that they've given me and actually exceeding it. On the second thought, How could that be? they say my cut-off is every 21st of the month, In addition to that I am making sure that my "Cellular Data" is "OFF" after using the internet on my phone. So I started thinking, Is it possible that everytime I turn that thing "ON", Its an automatic 30mins consumption? Because I rarely use the internet on my phone. I'm in the office the whole day why bother using my allowance when I can use it for emergencies.
01-June-2012 My service got suspended "AGAIN"! And so I called Customer Service "Again". and the consultant explained to me:
Now here comes the biggest challenge. "20 HOURS of INTERNET" is given to me for "FREE" every month. I have P600.00 Credit Limit. The consultant informed me that the "FREE 20 Hours of Internet" should be paid first and they will be crediting the P400.00Value (P10.00/30mins) once the bill is generated. I have paid P450.00 in advance already, and why should I pay for some that was suppose to be given to me for "FREE"?, Moreover, The P400.00 Value of the "Free 20 Hours of Internet" is comsuming my credit limit. The consultant told me that I have roughly aroung P850.00 unbilled charges thats why my line is suspended. If you're to think about it P400.00 of the P850.00 unbilled charges are for my "FREE 20 HOURS of INTERNET". Assuming I have used P450.00 extra (Which I doubt I've used that much in less than 10 days) I'm still way-under my credit limit. So, WHY ARE YOU SUSPENDING MY SERVICE?! AND IN ADDITION TO THAT, I'VE SIGNED UP FOR A POSTPAID SERVICE, SO I'M SUPPOSE TO BE PAYING AFTER I'VE USED THE SERVICE! I'VE PAID IN ADVANCE NA NGA EH. PAID DOUBLE PA!
And so consultant apologized and escalated my concern to the right group and promised to have my line reconnected after 24Hours. Next day (02-June-2012) my service is still barred, and so I called again, Same sh*t happened. Consultant Promised me Same thing and so I waited "AGAIN". so from 01-June-2012 until today (05-June-2012) I keep doin' the same thing and nothing seems to be happening. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, SUNCELLUR. VERY STUPID SYSTEM THAT SUN CELLULAR IS USING. Kala ko signal lang mahina sa inyo.
Can someone Help me with this?
