ENTREPRENEUR Philippines, the indispensable guide for aspiring and growing Filipino entrepreneurs published by Summit Media, is now accepting nominations for its annual ENTREPRENEUR 10 Awards, which recognizes the country’s ten outstanding entrepreneurs for 2010. Now on its 8th year, the ENTREPRENEUR 10 Awards started in 2003 and honors the achievements of ten small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs who have blazed trails in local and international business.

The winners and their stories will be published in the November 2010 issue of ENTREPRENEUR. The magazine itself is reaching a milestone as it celebrates its 10th year in the Philippines under Summit Media, which also publishes FHM, Cosmopolitan, Yes! Magazine and 17 other titles.

Notable past winners of the ENTREPRENEUR 10 awards include Benjamin Liuson of The Generics Pharmacy, Les Reyes of Reyes Haircutters, Chit Juan of Figaro Coffee, Edgar Sia II of Mang Inasal, Carson Tan of Aqua Best and Richard Sanz of Bibingkinitan.

To qualify for the ENTREPRENEUR 10 awards, a nominee must satisfy the following qualifications:

-- A Filipino citizen of good moral standing;
-- The founder, owner or co-owner of his or her present business;
-- The business must have been in operation for at least five years;
-- The business must have assets ranging from P3 million to P100 million; and
-- The nominee must be able to provide a copy of his or her company’s audited financial statements for the past three years (2007, 2008 and 2009), the company’s employee handbook, and its business licenses and permits.
