Should talks prosper, Filipinos abroad may send gifts of cakes, pastries and other items from Red Ribbon via iRemit to their family in the Philippines. The remittance firm has earlier tied up with Jollibee and Nestlé for the same program. [Read BSP to use system that will cut remittance fees here]

OFWs were able to prepare party packages for their loved ones in the country or have groceries and gift items delivered to their loved ones,” Bansan Choa, iRemit chairman and CEO, said in an interview. Meanwhile, iRemit continues to expand in Europe, planning to open their first remittance center in Switzerland, a host to a number of high-income OFWs.
