Software developer Oracle recently launched their new Oracle E-Business Suite that promises to deliver significant cost savings to client companies.
The product, the company says, has industry specific features and solutions. These industries include wholesale distribution, public sector, high technology, engineering & construction, life sciences, retail, professional services, communications, consumer goods and utilities.
“By standardizing and simplifying various functions the software will allow better oversight and ultimately cost savings from better monitoring. Also, having industry specific functions allows the software to be easily customizable to the particular challenges of each respective industry,” the company said in a statement.
In the Philippines, among the early adopters of the system is AMA Computer University, which uses the software to overhaul its financial infrastructure.
“As the pioneer of computer education in the Philippines, AMA remains steadfast in its commitment to provide globally competent ICT manpower in the world market. As we venture into various expansion plans towards the establishment of a global online university, AMA has embarked on upgrading its technology infrastructure with Oracle to improve our capability and service availability,” said Amable Aguiluz IX, president of AMA Education Group.
