Brother International Philippines, in cooperation with Entrepreneur Philippines and GoNegosyo has announced the Life Enriching Discoveries (L.E.D.) unique business idea or concept competition, which aims to encourage existing and aspiring Filipino entrepreneurs to come up with one-of-a-kind concepts for business.

Filipinos aged 18 and above who are residents of Metro Manila may pitch their business ideas or concepts to get a chance to win up to P100,000 worth of cash and Brother printer as start-up capital, courtesy of Brother Philippines.

In November, the company launched a new range of compact color printers and multi-function centers utilizing a newly improved LED printing technology, allowing for high speed printing at 16 pages per minute (ppm), rich color quality at up to 2,400 x 600 dpi resolution, at cost-effective prices starting from P14,990.00

The contest is open to individuals or teams with up to four (4) members. Participants are required to submit a written business brief in general terms, plus a description of the business idea, its market, the competition and competitive advantages. Specific market and financial forecasts are not required, although participants should have a basic idea of the level of financing they would need to start their business.

To determine the winning entry, concepts will be evaluated on their viability and feasibility in the current marketplace. Business plan templates are available at www.brother.com.ph.

The announcement of the L.E.D. Unique Business Idea or Concept winner will be on March 9, 2010.
