10 ways to save money

By Peter Imbong

Feb 24, 2012

The key to saving your hard-earned dough isn’t about putting a compete stop to all your purchases. Look for covert cash leaks, plug them up, and get ready to save more than 25K this year. Seriously.

If you want to have more money you have to do two things: earn more or spend less. But what if you really need that venti caramel macchiato with soymilk to de-stress? What if the only way for you to get through the week is a one-hour Swedish massage and a pedicure? Fear not. You can still buy and do all those things but still save some cash.

Instead of eliminating what’s important to you, look for options that provide the same service or product but for less the price. It’s not about being cheap. It’s about being smart. In the end you’ll still get to enjoy the things you want and save a few thousand pesos a year while doing it.
