6 trends that shaped retail in 2011

This year proved to be an exciting one for the retail scene with foreign brands expanding rapidly in the country and new malls opening in small communities in and outside Metro Manila. Now, Filipino consumers don’t need to go abroad or ask traveling relatives to buy for them.  Chances are, your favorite Korean or American brand is already in a mall near you.

 

Entrepreneur.com.ph asked Lauren de Leon, a graduate of  Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) and currently the brand manager for luxury fragrance retailer, Scent and Beaute Concepts, to round up the trends that shook the retail scene this year.
