School's in: Learn more about business online
Jul 18, 2012
Thanks to technology, you can learn more about business without having to leave your desk.
Harvard Business Review
Harvard Business Review (HBR) offers video interviews with industry leaders and experts covering topics such as social media, government, and innovation. Interesting discussions include how failures and risks can help improve a company and how to improve relations by engaging employees.
All videos are available via HBR’s YouTube channel, but for those who want more, the site offers audio-only interviews with prominent figures like broadcast journalist Christiane Amanpour and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. There are also infographics that illustrate success stories and innovations, as well as visualize the future of business in the hands of today’s young leaders.
Also worth checking out are the live webinars. Sign up for these and you can be part of an interactive environment with the speakers. Missed one? Replays of the last three sessions are available for viewing.
yourBusinessChannel
Created by business development experts Mark Sinclair and James Kirk, yourBusinessChannel (yBC) “offers ‘no nonsense business advice, guidance and counsel’ to business people ‘with an entrepreneurial mindset’ the world over.” Thanks to the growing and versatile web platform, yBC has been able to provide thousands of videos covering areas like government, business intelligence, and business development. All videos are arranged by topic in both the company’s homepage as well as their YouTube channel.
