Successful women-entrepreneurs share insights through upcoming forum

Women-entrepreneurs are set to share insights about opportunities and challenges in a daylong forum.

What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? Does it have to do with money? Talent? Skill? Right connections? Attitude? Find the answers from the forum entitled, Learning from the G-WISE, that will be conducted this Friday, October 23, 2015 by the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries in UP Diliman.

 

Learning from the G-WISE aims to showcase the experiences of successful women entrepreneurs, the challenges they faced, and lessons learned on their road to success. The ultimate purpose is to make the audience aware of the opportunities that await entrepreneurs and inspire them to consider exploring a career or a second career as entrepreneurs.

 

The speakers are: Ms. Myrna Bituin (Betis Crafts–furniture exporter who provided some furniture items to the set of the TV series ‘Sex and the City,’ Ms. Patricia Paterno (Co-founder of Papemelroti), Ms. Au Soriano (Founder and CEO of Pinoy Travel), Ms. Anna Beltran (VP and COO of Framedia, Inc–an eLearning solutions provider), Ms. Sherill Quintana (Founder and CEO of Oryspa–producer of locally-sourced and  natural-based health and wellness products), Ms. Sandy Montano (Business Development Director of CHEERS–provider of emergency- and disaster- preparedness training, Ms. Melissa Baron (Managing Partner of Good Thinking, Inc.–a marketing firm), and Ms Ana Domingo (DBP AVP–lending program for women entrepreneurs).

 

Learning from the G-WISE will be conducted from 8:30 in the morning up to 4:00 in the afternoon. Attendance is free.
