Out of a thousand people who buy into a network marketing company, only five will achieve success. In network marketing circles, success could be measured by the income that one brings in. These days, for one to be considered “successful,” one must earn at least P50,000 a month from network marketing. One in five is quite a low number.
[related|post]Compare the income potential of network marketing to that of one of the most popular professions in the country—nursing. In the Philippines, out of a thousand nursing students, roughly 600 will finish their studies, 300 will pass the board, and 150 will get nursing jobs. Five to 10 of those who become nurses, after five to 10 years, will be promoted or land a job abroad, which will earn them about P50,000 in monthly income!
This ratio—five out of 1,000—is more or less the norm in many other professions. But these stats could be improved. In network marketing, as in many professions, there is a general formula for success.
Start with a Goal
Start with a goal, and not with action. Many new network-marketers, excited to share their new-found opportunity, eagerly invite their friends to join. Before you do anything, sit down and determine first how much you want to make per month. How much income do you want to accumulate in the next five to 10 years? Your goal will provide the overall plan and activity rate of your career.
