I'm also trying out the foodcart business. I haven't attended the seminar yet but from my understanding, the crew will be paid per day, but i guess you can choose whichever would work best for you.

depende naman yan sa scope ng work or sa dami ng products na ibebenta.

yung isang stall ko...P100 per day + food (3x) + snacks (2x)...no fare kase nilalakad lang nung tao ko from his house to my stall. time nya is from 7am to 7pm. minsan pinapauwi ko after office hour ko at ako na sana magbabantay kaso ayaw nyang umuwi. nga pala, sya na rin namamalengke pag naubusan ng stock.

yung ibang food cart ko, 2 products lang binebenta and i give my tao P100 per day + fare (back and forth) + snacks (2x). No food at all. ;) 7:30am to 6pm ang pasok nila.

sugguestion ko. 100 peso per day. 50 peso food allowance. total of 150 pesos. then, set quota like 1000 pesos. after ng 1000 pesos na sales, bigyan mo ng 5 peso per 100 na over sa quota nya. working hour should not be more than 10 hours. mahirap din kung pagod ang tao mo. pero the best kung 2 tao meron mo, para puwede mo cut sa 9 hours bawat tao. kung kumikita ka na, kahit taasan mo ng konti like additional 50. para ma enganyo tao mo mag benta.

ito ang gamit kong rule before nung meron kami hotdog cart.

Sorry to be blunt but isn't that a horrible way to treat your employees. Think about it. Let's assume that a decent meal is about 50 pesos, if you paid your employee 100 pesos a day plus 50 pesos 1 meal allowance, then the poor guy would not even have enough fare for 1 jeepney ride left at the end of the day.

Paying 100 pesos a day would also put you as the business owner on very dangerous grounds. Let's say a person wanted to squeeze you for some money. This person would go to work for you for one month then the next month go to the NLRC (National Labor Relations Commission) and then file a case against you for non compliance with labor laws, then ask for an outrageous amount of cash to settle out of court.

I agree with Wayne. Its ok to have a business, but the profit must not be earned over the back of the employees. They have not only obligations, but also minimum rights. This legal rights are not made for nothing. If you cannot earn enough money to pay them than better not start or stop the business.

yung mga nagbabantay ng stalls sa sm, 150 to 250 per day lang ang salary.
i think malaki na ang 150.  yung mga tindera sa divisoria start at 80 per day no free meal at all.
pag ata small business like these eh okay lang ang ganitong pasahod.
yung nagtitinda nga ng fishballs 50 per day lang or 2000 to 3000 monthly.
sad to say ganyan talaga pasahod eh.  i'm interested in this type of business din, kung kaya ba minimum why not diba?

.. Im planning as well to start my own business.. im currently a fulltime employee pero need ko ng extrang pagkakakitaan, Curious din po kasi ako sa dapat na sahod ng magbabantay ng stall or fudcart ko po, i mean im not going to hire a college graduate for im sure naman na di papayag yun pag mababa ang sahod, Mahirap kasi na magsahod ng minimum lalo na pag startup business pa lng at di naman malaki ang business talaga pati nga capital maliit lng din. Di ko naman hangad na maging greed or to take advantage of other people pero di ko rin gusto na malugi ang business na kakasimula pa lng dami rin kasi factors involve eh. Pwede ba hire yung mga elementary grad or kahit nakapag highscul atleast kahit papano meron cla trabaho?

Currently I am in the food cart business in Nueva Ecija. Im giving my crew member 150/day + Food allowance of 30 pesos and free merienda. I think this is enough already specially for a small start up business. In the malls I know they are only giving their crew member 120/day without any other allowance.
