Did you register your logo?
« on: June 16, 2008, 10:53:00 pm »
Hi guys! Did you register your company logo with the IPO? I was thinking of registering mine, but when I searched their database, some big companies were not even registered with them. Does it mean it's not required?

IPO protects the rights of the owners of the ideas.  It is not a requirement, but an added precaution.  Most large corporations are already so large that if someone steals their ideas, they will usually win in court even without an IPO registration.

business logos are trademarks. If you want exclusivity of use, register mo siya with the IPO. In that way, malalaman mo din kung may nauna na sayo sa paggamit ng trademark na yan. Also, if your business gets bigger and global, you own the trademark at walang makaka pirate nun sa iyo.
