Food (Business) Enthusiasts
« on: February 04, 2005, 01:05:06 am »
I am opening this thread for those people who are into food business or still planning to start one.  Also for hobbyist.

Purpose:
1)  Those who are already in the food business can share their knowledge to the aspiring ones.
2)  We can easily send messages if there will be exhibits, expo, seminars, etc.
3)  We can share books or magazines.  Sell them if you want.
4)  Let everybody know if there will be sale of equipments, baking supplies, free demos and others.
5)  Sell those items you bought but wasn't used.  Or sell secondhand items as well.
6)  We can also get partners for bazaars.  For those people with less capital.

Hi Jona,

I can share sa food and beverage cost control, meat processing (may seminar materials ako nito), product development, store design concept, etc.

I can consign different products for bazaaristas... mga original Filipino biscuits like otap, arguellanas, Broas, turones, etc. Yan ang business ng sister ko. They supply all over Luzon.

I can also give inputs about matching the product to the right market. And other inputs about market demand, etc.

Mahilig ako sa cooking. :) My sister is a master of public health in U.P. She can hold seminars about making hot and cold taho, soy milk and tofu. Pwede rin syang mag-seminar about vegetarian cooking. Health concious na ang Pinoy kaya maganda ang market nito.

Thanks for starting this thread, maraming matutulungang start-ups dito.

There will be a "BAKERY FAIR 2005" at the WTC this Feb. 18-20.  I am not sure if there will be an entrance fee.  Fil-Chi Bakers Association ang organizer.

3 days ako don.  ;)

From past experiences on other food fairs, I am sure there will be suppliers of ingredients, kitchen utensils and equipments, demo, etc. There will be a Wedding Cake decorating contest.  And lots of food, siyempre.  ;D

See you there.

Hi drew,

Which area of food do you specialize? Do you offer project-based services for product development?

hi, akeeno. i would say i can handle most products (beverage, confectionery, dry blends, etc), my weakest would be breads tho.  and yes, i do accept per project basis.  actually that's what i am doing at the moment.

hi maneki,

one of our 'side business' is yung chocolate lollipops and other chocolate products. sa ngayon we're getting our supplies and other materials from chocolate lovers. baka alam mo lng, mayroon din daw kasi  makukunan ng supplies at materials sa binondo. i'm looking particularly for different molds, kasi halos nakita ko lahat ng molde nila sa chocolate lovers e, and also packaging too

hi rafi,

di ba mayroon ka rin molds ng rugrats, winnie d pooh and other characters? nakalimutan ko na kasi e, san mo nga ba nabili yun?

hi charles, drew, et al,

mayroon din kasi kaming bagong product ngayon, kamote chips (yes! the lowly kamote), at lahat naman ng napagbilhan namin at nakatikim na are one in saying na masarap siya. at sigurado pang healthy at walang preservatives. actually, ngluto lng one-time ang wife ko as meryenda. then sabi ko, itry ko ibenta. nabenta naman, although pa-unti-unit nga lang.

ang tanong ko ngayon, if you can help me, paano namin madedetermine at mapo-prolong yung shelf life? although di naman siya nagtatagal dahil, sa akin pa lang ubos na ;D  kasi parang pringles o chocolate siya na, the more you eat, the more you want!

and any other tips that you can give me.

thanks

roy
