And the business opportunities that await you abroad
By Carlo P. Mallo |

The 8th International Food Expo Philippines (IFEX) is not just about exciting food finds that cater to the global palate. For four days starting May 12, it will also serve as a hub to Filipino entrepreneurs who are constantly searching for business opportunities.

IFEX Philippines, which will run until May 14 at the SMX Convention Center, will provide gainful business opportunities for importers, exporters, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers eyeing both the local and international markets.

The expo will also serve as a venue for learning as IFEX Philippines has prepared 3 free seminars to give Filipino entrepreneurs an edge in the food business.

The IFEX is led by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), an exports promotions agency of the Department of Trade and Industry. In 2010, the expo attracted visitors and buyers from Singapore, the Middle East, Australia, Japan, China, South Korea, United Kingdom and the United States.
