A guide on the real estate expansion happening south of Manila (Part I)

Congestion and pollution in Metro Manila have led many to look beyond city limits for relief
By Jose B. Pilar |

As you know the congestion and pollution in Metro Manila have led many residents to look outside city limits  for relief.

With the newly widened and improved South Luzon (SLEX) and the North Luzon expressways (NLEX),  opportunities for Manila residents to look at new home and business sites  in southern and northern territories have greatly expanded.

North of Manila, government efforts in Subic and Clark have led the growth of business and housing in these centers. In the area South of Alabang, most of the developments are private initiatives of real estate companies. For this article, I will focus on new developments along the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road.

Altogether, the rawlands covering these developments exceed 5,000 hectares, an area bigger than Manila and  Makati combined,  and it is developing rapidly.

Check the gallery below for the real estate firms who are actively engaged in land development in this area.
