While the New Year brings with it the many opportunities for the months to come, graduating college students are slowly saying goodbye to the life they have come to know as they count down to graduation day. Students in their final months of college are also starting to realize the reality of the world they are about to enter – the competitive world of job hunting.
Knowing that securing the right first job is important to graduating students, the University of the Philippines, Diliman holds its annual University Job Fair (UJF), where various institutions such as the country’s biggest companies, small-scale businesses, non-government organizations (NGOS) and government offices gather, in order to provide students and job hunters with diverse career options. This 2013, the UJF will be held from January 29 to February 1 at the Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman.
The UJF also holds seminars designed to help the students in choosing their career path and to equip them with job application skills. These include workshops on resume writing, power-dressing, mock interviews and many others.
