Forbes.com recently released the Global 2000 list on the top public companies in the world. By public, it means that these companies\\\'s shares listed and traded in the stock market.

“We compile our Global 2000 list by screening Interactive Data, Thomson Reuters Fundamentals and Worldscope databases via FactSet Research Systems for companies that were publicly trading as of March 11, 2011. All figures are consolidated and in U.S. dollars. For companies in the U.S., Canada and off-shore (such as Bermuda) we use the latest-12-months\\\' financial data (sales, profits and assets). For international companies we use the latest-fiscal-year financial data,” said Forbes.com.

While the study listed several companies, Entrepreneur.com.ph narrowed down the list to the companies that are currently doing business in the Philippines that have been included in the crème de la crème of Forbes.com’s top 25 companies. Eight of the companies in the top 25 are doing business in the country.
