The University of the Philippines caught everyone off guard this year with their unexctedly stellar performance in the UAAP\\\'s men\\\'s basketball games.
While the Red Maroons did not make it to the final four, the future of the team is a promising one. And so is entrepreneurship among its students.
First, it was just her love for jackets, university jackets to be exact. Just like the ones that you see in the movies: a pretty girl wearing university jacket of school jock.
“I love jackets. However, it’s very hard to find shops that allow you to design your own clothes. I decided to try to sell it and I’m glad, many love it,” said Shine Veracruz, owner of Cover-Ups Shop.
Before she knew it, a lot of students have learned about the jackets and have asked her to produce it. What started as one student’s passion has become a successful business idea.
