Food haven: Distrito Makati

Parking lot turned into food haven.
By Carlo P. Mallo |

Who would have thought that a parking lot at the end of Ayala Avenue can actually be turned into a food haven for those craving for home-cooked and Filipino food staples at the middle of the week?

RJ Ledesma and his partners definitely did. After the success of Mercato Centrale, Midnight Mercato, and Soderno@Molito, Ledesma and his partners open their latest venture right in the heart of Makati, at the very place where sleep seems to be elusive.

Strategically located on the corners of Ayala Avenue, Amorsolo, and Salcedo Streets, Distrito Makati has a captive market: people working at the numerous BPO offices in the area, and the medical professionals at Makati Medical Center. This weekday market is open from Wednesday to Friday, 9 pm to 3 am.
