One of the most anticipated trade shows in the country, Manila F.A.M.E. International is once again bringing the country’s finest designs and products for home and fashion on April 16 to 19 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

The 53rd edition of Manila F.A.M.E. International, one of the longest running trade shows in Asia, has evolved into more than just a mere presentation of design innovation. It also provides buyers and visitors with a one-stop venue for sourcing products made by Filipino craftsmen who now enjoy the distinction of being among the best artisans in the world.

“We want Manila F.A.M.E. to reinforce its position as Asia’s trendsetter to attract and engage more local and international buyers and visitors each year. More than presenting new designs and concepts, Manila F.A.M.E. International showcases the Filipino Artisan and the industry as a whole. This way, we further establish the Philippines as one of the world’s design and lifestyle resource hubs,” Rosvi Gaetos, Executive Director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), organizer of Manila F.A.M.E. International, said.

Maja Olivares-Co, the show’s curator, found inspiration in the Philippines’ rich supply of traditional raw materials in creating the show’s concept - TM/New Directions.

TM/New Directions focuses on the country’s traditional raw materials - fiber, shell and wood - that are widely used in the Philippine handicraft industry. These iconic materials, creatively transformed into impressive home and lifestyle concepts, are displayed in two settings that form the show’s centerpiece: the Heritage Hall and Ideas Wall.

The April edition will feature around 300 exhibitors showcasing the latest trends in home and fashion lifestyle. More than 2,000 local and foreign buyers are expected to visit the show.

“We want every Manila F.A.M.E. International edition to produce exciting and interesting conversation pieces that generate and inspire design trends,” Gaetos adds.
