eBay announced a series of new enhancements to its Philippines website starting May 30.
The new will have a cleaner and more contemporary look and feel. It’s also a more intuitive, convenient way for customers to browse the biggest selection of new and fixed price merchandise new and fixed priced merchandise, ranging from electronics to fashion. 


The Philippines is one of the first countries in the region to experience the new eBay along with Singapore and Malaysia. The new site gives customers the chance to trade anything with anyone.  In fact,’s local merchants feature some of the country’s lowest prices on many new products.The site now has a personal way to curate your own shopping experience and discover items, called the Feed. This feature creates the experience of an online personal shopper by matching customer interest with eBay’s global inventory; similar to creating a news feed.



Filipinos can also now buy from a pool of local listings, and over 40 million new global listings using Shoppers have access to more daily bargains, including up to 90 percent discounts off the recommended retail prices of a range of electronics, mobile accessories, computers and watches.

Additionally, streamlined navigation and headers on the new site provide an easy, consistent shopping experience. The platform also has “view item” pages which offer bigger photos and key product information, plus customers can also link their eBay and PayPal accounts to make check-out faster and easier.  “Welcome to the new eBay, the future of commerce,” commented Jason Lee, Regional Director, Southeast Asia and Middle East. 


According to eBay\\\'s Daniel Feiler, Director of Communications, Asia Pacific, Filipino buyers tend to buy new things online and prefer buying goods at fixed prices rather than bidding. The most popular shopping categories are clothing and accessories, health and beauty products, and toys.
