Are you looking for a supplier for your food business? Check out the 7th Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX) with the theme “glocal flavors” at the World Trade Center starting from June 12 to 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Food professionals and enthusiasts from the food and beverage industry will be treated to a five-day expo with a line-up of activities: cook-offs seminars and sampling events.

This is the best time to look for new companies for sourcing specialty food items since the show is dedicated to suppliers, distributors, manufacturers and retailers of food and beverage products and equipment that cater to the food service and hospitality industries. For 2013, MAFBEX again leads the pack in addressing the trends and issues of the day. With a growing market for global flavors and tastes, this year’s event offers grand booth pavilions from Italy, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the ASEAN.

“Filipinos are some of the biggest foodies in the world. As such, we have kept up with the global trends in the industry and lately there has been a greater demand for food products made from simple, organic and easily understood ingredients,” said Worldbex Services International Managing Director Jill Aithnie Ang

“This year’s theme reflects this mindset so we had a line-up of activities that showcased internationally-renowned chefs and experts giving tips and techniques on how best to take advantage of this current trend,” Ang added.

The country’s top food distributors would also be selling imported goods at discounted prices at MAFBEX. Savor products that define the global basket of flavours in a one of a kind grocery experience.

Throughout the duration of the event, professors and culinary experts from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde will be conducting free seminars tackling food trends, catering, branding, food safety, wine tasting, workshops and live culinary competitions at the extended wing of the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
