The industry may have gotten a bad rap due to scams and unscrupulous persons/companies, but it remains a viable choice for employees who want to supplement their day-job earnings, or folks who want to manage their own business, but with the backing of an established company and its wide product range.

You should also visit any of their branches to get a first-hand look at what they do, study their marketing plans and ask a lot of questions before diving in. We believe there's no such thing as a stupid question, and it's always best to have a clear understanding of the pros and cons of direct selling before joining.
It would also be good to have a friend (or someone you know or are related to) who's already a member of the direct selling company you're eyeing. Of course, taking this route also means you'll become part of their downline, but that's just the way the direct selling system works.
