Yummy Roast: the new kid on the block

Filipinos like it quick and yummy, at least when it comes to food. And that is where Yummy Roast steps in.

It’s a new kid on the block, but its owner definitely knows what the Filipino palate is like and how to adapt to it.

Richmond Yang, the same man who developed and conceptualized Super Bowl of China, franchisee of Chili’s Grill and Bar, brings to the Philippine shores his latest restaurant: Yummy Roast.

Looking at the menu of Yummy Roast, it looks like a fusion of Chinese, Singaporean, and Filipino dishes. There’s the chicken essence infused Yummy Rice that is very much like the Singaporean chicken rice, the Yummy Chicken that reminds one of the various variants of the local ‘inasal’, and there’s the pork asado of Chinese descent.

While it is a local restaurant, Yummy Roast is a restaurant that serves dishes made from the most advanced kitchen technology with the authentic and traditional styles of Asian cooking.

If you think Chinese restaurants are fast, think again. Yummy Roast aims to serve guests within a minute. Add to that, Yummy Roast offers their dishes at reasonable prices starting at P90 for a complete meal.

But it’s not the reason why its owners believe that Yummy Roast will be a big hit in the country, even rivaling long established Filipino quick service restaurants.

“Our secret is that we understand the intrinsic values and delicate taste profiles of Asians, especially the Filipinos. We really know Asian food and we want the Filipinos to get to know it too. We always keep the traditions in mind but at the same time introduce innovation. For example, we work with classic cooking methods but we re-design them to produce better food, fast,” Cary Gee, Chief Executive Officer of The Asian Kitchen Food Company, said.
The first and flagship store is located at the heart of Eastwood City in Citywalk 2. The company intends to open more Yummy Roast outlets in SM Sta. Rosa, SM Bicutan, Vito Cruz, and SM Manila.
