Bank schedules for Holy Week 2016

(UPDATED) Most banks will be closed starting Maundy Thursday, March 24, with some selected bank branches open for customers during the Holy Week.



BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) and BPI Family Savings Bank

All branches and kiosks of Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and BPI Family Savings Bank (BFSB) will be closed from March 24, Thursday to March 27, Sunday. Regular banking operations shall resume on Monday, March 28. 



BPI also advises its customers to pay their bills ahead, the latest on or before Wednesday, March 23 to ensure posting of their payments before the long weekend. Payments made from March 24 to 27 will be reflected on their accounts by Tuesday, March 29.


The bank will also perform a systems maintenance from March 2 at 9 pm to March 25, Friday, 9 pm. BPI’s 24/7 banking channels such as online, mobile, and phone banking (89-100) will be unavailable during this time.


Customers are ensured all BPI ATMs and cash deposit machines will be available during the Holy Week. 




All branches of Chinabank will be closed from March 24 until March 26. However, all ATM machines will be fully operational, as well as its online banking services, www.chinabankonline.phand its mobile app.




All branches of Maybank will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, March 23 except for its Resorts World and main office branch in Bonifacio Global City, which will close at 7 pm.



Starting March 24, Thursday, all branches will be closed until March 27, Sunday. Regular banking schedule will return by Monday, March 28. 


Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank)

All Metrobank branches will be closed from March 24 to 27, except for selected branches that will operate on Thursday, Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27 from 9 am to 12 noon.

The bank also advises its patrons that there will be no check clearing from March 24 to 27. Checks deposited shall be processed for clearing and for value on March 28.


All of its e-channels (MetrobankDirect Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Metrophone, ATMs) will be available 24/7 all throughout the holidays. 



Philippine Savings Bank (PS Bank)

All PS Bank branches nationwide will be closed on March 24 and 25. But all its 625 ATMs will be online and PSBank Mobile and PSBank Online (Internet banking) will be available for banking transactions. 



Also, all payroll crediting scheduled on March 24 and 25 will proceed, while accounts with due dates on the said holidays will be debited on the next banking day, Monday, March 28. Payments will be valued on its original due date and no penalties will be charged.


Clearing will also be suspended on March 24 and 25. Checks dated March 24 and 25, 2016 will be processed on March 28. No penalties will be charged for checks, dated March 24 and 25, intended for PSBank loan payments.


Time deposits maturities on March 24 and 25 will be processed on March 28, the following banking day.



Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC)
RCBC advised all its customers to pay or fund their respective accounts before the Holy Week break to avoid delinquency. It is yet to announce any closure of branches for the duration of the long weekend. – Elyssa Christine Lopez
