Entrepreneur Philippines holds ’Entrepreneur Talks 3’

Undeniably, Filipinos have some of the most creative and imaginative minds. It is no surprise that aspiring graphic designers across the country have all the potential to carve their names online.

Entrepreneur Philippines recognized this potential by organizing the third leg of Entrepreneur Talks dedicated to promising graphic designers in the country last November 19, 2014 (Wednesday) at the Century City Mall Event Center in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City. Hosted by the magazine’s associate publisher Dave Kodhr, the discourse aimed to teach and inspire up-and-coming graphic designers on building successful branding concepts through digital design.

Canva co-founder and CEO Melanie Perkins had the chance to answer some of the questions that surround the industry today, coming from graphic designers and interested guests alike. It also served as a venue for aspiring and established designers to build networks and exchange business concepts.

The website focuses on providing aspiring designers the opportunity to create their own design concept using a program that is free and easy to use. During the talk, she introduced some of the features that Canva recently launched, and gave a brief background on how ordinary people can be designers by using the program.

The night was capped with a question-and-answer segment from the participants, and a raffle draw that gave away gift certificates event sponsors 7-Eleven and Ystilo Salon.
