Go Negosyo launches mentoring program for students and latest book

Go Negosyo successfully launched its student mentoring program that aims to help the youth understand opportunities in entrepreneurship. It also launched its ninth book featuring inspiring stories of 50 entrepreneurs in the country.

Go Negosyo launches mentoring program for students and latest book

The Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship Inc. (Go Negosyo) successfully launched its Building Enterprising Students for Tomorrow (BEST) mentoring program, along with its ninth book entitled ’50 Entrepreneurs of Passion’ last November 17, 2014 (Monday) at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City.

This program aims to teach and inspire outstanding students from different educational institutions across the country the basic knowledge in entrepreneurship. Throughout the year, related events will be held quarterly, with lots of activities and lectures to be offered to expose the selected students to the world of business management.

Hosted by Master’s Lighthouse Foundation member Anthony Pangilinan, the program launch gathered some of the greatest minds in entrepreneurship, including Calata Corporation founder and CEO Joseph Calata, AirAsia chief of Staff Jonathan Yabut, and former bank CEO Aurelio Montinola, among others. Also in attendance was the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Philippines Asif Ahmad, who delivered the keynote address to the participants.

In the evening of the same day, Go Negosyo also unveiled its ninth book entitled ’Go Negosyo 50 Entrepreneurs of Passion’ that featured 50 entrepreneurs coming from various industries who influenced business landscape in the country. In the book, those entrepreneurs shared their inspiring stories.  

Hosted by celebrity emcee Michaelangelo Lobrin and RJ Ledesma, the book launch gathered some of the biggest names in corporate and show business, including Asian Institute of Management founder Washington SyCip, celebrity TV host German Moreno, Sagrex Foods Inc. CEO Ferdinand Marañon, and former Dept. of Agriculture secretary Senen Bacani, among others.

The launching of Go Negosyo BEST and ’50 Entrepreneurs of Passion’ were among the highlights of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which was observed locally from November 17 to 23. The much-awaited week was celebrated in over 140 countries with the goal to create awareness on the opportunities in entrepreneurship.
