In celebration of this year’s Labor Day on May 1, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has organized 44 job fairs nationwide, with the theme “Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho Tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago.”
Happening in 17 regions in the country, the business fairs “aim to bring employment opportunities and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level,” DOLE said in a statement. The Philippines is celebrating its 115th Labor Day this year.
Interested applicants must bring their resume or curriculum vitae, 2 x 2 ID pictures, certificate of employment for those formerly employed, diploma and/or transcript of records and authenticated birth certificate. The employment bureau reminds applicants to bring extra copies for those who are planning to apply in several companies.
Business owners and companies keen to hire workers are encouraged to get in touch with the DOLE’s regional offices on how to participate in the job fairs.
