Proving its consistency in expansion, Ministop opened its 500th store in the country on March 19, 2015. Located at the Robinsons Magnolia Residences in Quezon City, the newest branch of the convenience store chain will serve mall goers, students, and nearby residents 24/7 with its food and beverage line-up.
"We are targeting to reach 600 stores before this year ends and 900 stores in total in 2017," shares Roena Sarte, General Manager of Ministop. She also added that they are also opening stores in Visayas and Mindanao in the coming months to serve Filipinos across the country.
In terms of franchising, Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., the local operator of Ministop, aims to entice and keep more franchisees to help attain its expansion vision. "We are giving continuous support to our franchisees. While we want to keep our existing franchisees by giving them multiple stores, we are also welcoming new applicants to work with," explains Eve Rosales, Senior Franchising Manager. With this, business opportunities await aspiring franchisees as Ministop aims continuous growth.
Present in the launching were Roena Sarte, General Manager of Ministop; Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte; Robina Gokongwei-Pe, president and COO of Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc.; and John Gokongwei, Jr., chairman emeritus of JG Summit Holdings, and his wife Elizabeth.
