Ever since its launch in 2013, Sakay.ph has made the lives of commuters a lot less stressful by allowing them to check out the various routes they can take to get to their destination. The app conveniently categorizes each set of directions according to travel time, and shows you the commute fare per ride. Here's the good news: Sakay.ph just got a comprehensive makeover, and mornings are going to get even easier for those who regularly use public transportation in Manila.
The app now has a vibrant new logo, but more importantly, it's updated its algorithm in some very useful ways. Since most Manila commuters use multiple modes of public transportation on a daily basis, the app now includes travel time and fare estimates for UV Express, P2P buses, and even ferries. The interface has also been made more user-friendly, allowing you to set your transportation preferences in your search for routes (for example, you can choose to see more results involving the P2P bus and less involving the MRT).
The new and improved Sakay.ph app will be launched on the App Store and Google Play on June 19.
