Healthway Medical, a mall-based clinic, announces its partnership with Horsepower PH. Horsepower PH is an outsourcing company for self-employed individuals, professionals, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing back office services such as HR, finance, healthcare, logistics, and procurement. Horsepower PH will provide healthcare services to its customers through Healthway’s MEDI-Access card.
The partnership with Horsepower PH is the Healthway Medical’s way of providing quality healthcare services to the self-employed and SME sector, a largely untapped market for the company.
“We realized that there is an unmet need of a big market out there,” said Dr. Eleanor Bengco-Tan, president, Healthway Medical. “These would be self-employed individuals, professionals and entrepreneurs who may not have any health coverage at all. Through Horsepower PH, their members will have the proper health coverage through MEDI-Access.”
Horsepower PH is targeting about 14M self-employed and 800,000 SMEs and start-up businesses. This represents an untapped business opportunity for both companies but more importantly, an opportunity for many individuals to have quality healthcare coverage.
“Based on our vision, Healthway is capable of providing us with the long-term collaboration that will benefit our target customers,” said Jorge Azurin, chief executive officer, Horsepower PH. “We can see that the MEDI-Access platform is suited to our technology.”
MEDI-Access is a reloadable card that comes with benefits and privileges for the convenience of its owners. Cardholders automatically enjoy a fixed consultation rate and a 20% discount on selected procedures in all Healthway clinics. They are also entitled to a P350 hospital daily income benefit and P5000 benefit insurance in case of accidental death or permanent disability. It is accepted in 20 partner hospitals.
