Small and medium enterprises gather for 2nd Philippine SME Business Expo

The country’s largest business to business conference and trade show will feature prominent individuals from the industry to prepare established and aspiring entrepreneurs for the impending ASEAN integration next year.

Small and medium enterprises gather for 2nd Philippine SME Business Expo

Some of the most successful small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will gather for the upcoming Philippine SME Business Exposition 2014 (PhilSME) on November 21, 2014 (Friday) at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Donning the theme ‘Boost your Business,’ the trade show aims to assist SMEs to become more competitive prior to the ASEAN Integration 2015. .

The three-day event will exhibit more than 200 local and international enterprises coming from 18 business sectors like agriculture, food, retail, and machineries among others. In addition, the trade show is expected to attract more than 20,000 people which will have the opportunity to build networks and collaborate with fellow established or aspiring entrepreneurs.

“We aim to put together under one roof the SME business owners… from the Philippines and the ASEAN region to collaborate in order to boost businesses and the country’s economy at large. The ASEAN economic community will become the seventh largest economy in the world with a combined consumer market of over 600 million people and we will do everything we can to help small businesses get access to the market and become globally competitive,” announced PhilSME founder and managing director David Abrenilla.

The expo will also provide several forums, seminars, and activities on lecturing entrepreneurs the proper way to grow their business. The speakers will include ZALORA regional operations manager of marketplace Arianne Kader, KKK Coffee founder Brian Tenorio, Philippine Marketing Association president Yayu Javier, and Filipino International Franchise Association founder Rudolf Kotik among others.

The speakers will discuss a number of topics ranging from tips on start-up and successfully marketing a small business, to discussion on the advantage of online retailing and financial planning.

Organized by MediaCom Solutions Inc. -- a business community building company and a professional exhibition and convention planner and in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry Bureau of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development, the trade show will welcome attendees from November 21 up until November 23, 2014 (Sunday) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
