Co-working spaces are defined as “the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas and knowledge.” It’s been gaining popularity in Metro Manila among SME owners, startups, and freelancers who simply need a space to work with access to internet and other facilities. Some of these spaces even entice people to go visit them or try them out for a day pass by offering unlimited coffee, invites to educational workshops and access to services that can help their business grow.
In Part 1 of this list, we explore the spaces located in Makati and Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
110 Legaspi Street, Legaspi Village
A day pass for the co-working space at the lounge area starts at Php1,000 per day, inclusive of unlimited free-flow liquids including artisanal coffee, fast internet, access to facilities, balconies, dining room and lounge. Their gallery which can accommodate 30 to 100 people can be rented for Php5,500 per hour and Php32,000 for eight hours of use, including manpower. It’s usually used for workshops, art exhibits, music gigs, etc.

Lounge rates: A one-day pass is Php1,000 while a five-day pass costs Php5,000. A 20-day pass costs Php10,000 and all of these are inclusive of unlimited drinks like artisanal coffee, access to facilities like the pantry, meeting rooms and balcony lounge areas.
Dedicated desk rates: Php12,000 for a flexible one-month cowork club pass. No deposit, just pay in advance. Php10,500 per month for a three-month co-work club pass. Upfront payment required. No deposit. Php9,000 per month for a 12-month cowork club pass. Requires a refundable deposit equal to one month. All of these rates are inclusive of a dedicated desk or workstation and an ergonomic chair, personal lockable storage, access to co-work lounge, facilities, and the balcony, and a fair-use of meeting rooms. 5th to 6th Floors at the OPL Building, 100 Palanca Street Legaspi Village and 11th Floor Chatham House Condominium, V.A. Rufino Street corner Valero Street, Salcedo Village
Use of their dedicated desk costs Php620 per day and Php8,700 per month. For their meeting room good for eight to 10 people in the Legaspi branch, it’s Php750 per hour, minimum two hours, and it includes access to WiFi, LED TV with connection to laptop, and a whiteboard. For their Salcedo branch, their meeting room that can fit five people is only Php500 per hour, minimum two hours, and includes access to WiFi and a whiteboard. The meeting room that can fit six to eight people is P750 per hour, minimum two hours, with the same inclusions as the Legaspi Village branch.
The Playground is an events space at Penbrothers located in their Legaspi branch which can be rented for events and can accommodate 40 to 60 people. It’s Php4,000 for one hour, Php10,000 for three hours, and Php20,000 for eight hours. These prices are VAT-exclusive, but amenities such as seats and tables, projector and screen, WiFi, corkboard, kitchen counter and free-flowing coffee are part of the package.

Members can enjoy the co-working space by paying just Php100 on their first hour. They can then get a 50 percent discount on succeeding hours. Regular rates are Php100 per hour, Php400 for students, Php500 fixed hour and Php600 flexi-hour for a day at their co-working space.

You can also rent their private office of 10sqm, good for up to five people, for a monthly rate of Php31,500. A private office of 20sqm and can fit up to 10 people will cost you Php63,000 monthly. Warehouse Eight also has event spaces. A space that can accommodate up to 50 people costs Php3,500 per hour and Php10,000 for four hours. It is inclusive of WiFi, aircon, pantry space, tables and chairs and one hour ingress and one hour egress, while an event space of up to 150 people goes for Php5,500 per hour and Php17,000 for four hours with the same inclusions. If you plan to rent these areas on weekdays, they will also give you 10 percent off.
