A jackpot prize of Php574,579,336 is at stake during the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) draw for its Ultra Lotto 6/58 game tonight.
This is the highest jackpot amount for the Ultra Lotto game since it was introduced by the PCSO in February 2015. And it’s been 87 draws since the jackpot prize was last won by two lucky players on February 16 this year.
Under PCSO’s scheme, the jackpot prize for Ultra Lotto 6/58 starts at Php50 million and cumulatively grows as more people place bets. It thus continues to climb until a winner emerges in the next draws. (See infographic)
The winning numbers for Ultra Lotto 6/58 are drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Following the implementation of the first package of the tax reform law, PCSO announced the increase in the cost for a single ticket for Ultra Lotto, from Php20 to Php24, starting July 8.
Still, compared to all of PCSO’s five main Lotto games, the Ultra Lotto’s Php574.6 million jackpot prize as of September 11 is just the second highest ever. The No. 1 distinction goes to the Php741.2-million jackpot prize for the Grand Lotto 6/55, which a winner claimed in November 2010.
PCSO’s other lottery games include Super Lotto 6/49, Mega Lotto 6/45 and Lotto 6/42, 6 Digits (6D) Game, 4 Digits (4D) Game, Suertres Lotto, and EZ2 Lotto. It also offer Keno, an online lottery game that has multiple daily draws.
