Provincial buses are a reliable way to reach an out of town destination, but it can get pretty uncomfortable carrying a wad of cash to pay for your fare at a crowded bus terminal. Thankfully, there is now a cashless way to ride the busâthe Araneta Center Bus Port launched an online and QR code payment system this June 20. Passengers can now pay online via credit card or PayMaya for their bus tickets to destinations such as Bicol, Calabarzon, Iloilo City, and more.
Although the Araneta Center Bus Port booking page has been up since May, passengers were only able to pay for their trips at the terminal via cash until recently. Thanks to this new development, you can now purchase bus tickets through their Mastercard, Visa, and JCB credit cards. Additionally, you can also opt to pay for your bus seat via the PayMaya app just scan the QR code provided at the bus port, and you're good to go.
