3 bazaars for startup entrepreneurs

Starting a business? Try it out at bazaars first

Starting a business is never easy, even just trying your hands in entrepreneurship is a thought that can send the bravest men scurrying away. After all, going into business is no joke as finances, time, and other resources are put into it.

Spouses Banjamin and Sandy Beltran decided to help spread the entrepreneurial spirit among Filipinos by making the marketplace accessible.

”We decided to create a group that would solely give true effort to giving as much of an opportunity to them as possible, by setting up events such as bazaars, art & craft fairs, flea market fiestas, and giant garage sales whose joining fees were as non-prohibitive but as sustainable as possible.  We started organizing such events in 2007, in Cubao Expo,” Benjamin Beltran said.

This year the group was formally launched as Step Up Events with its first bazaar, a February Affair at the U.P. Diliman\\\'s Bahay ng Alumni. It was followed by the Art Fest 2011 at the same venue.

Seeing the demand for alternative marketplaces, the group decided to organize three bazaars that will run for specific periods of the year. The three events organized by the Step Up this year are the following:
