Are you one of the country's top entrepreneurs?

ENTREPRENEUR Philippines Magazine, the indispensable guide for aspiring and growing Filipino entrepreneurs, is now accepting nominations for its annual ENTREPRENEUR 10 Awards, which recognizes the country’s ten outstanding entrepreneurs for 2009.

Now on its 7th year, the ENTREPRENEUR 10 Awards started in 2003 and honors the achievements of ten small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs who have blazed trails in local and international business.

The winners and their stories will be published in the December 2009 issue of ENTREPRENEUR. The magazine itself is reaching a milestone as it enters its 10th year in the Philippines under Summit Media, which also publishes FHM, Cosmopolitan, Yes! Magazine and more than 20 other titles.

Notable past winners of the ENTREPRENEUR 10 awards include renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue, Les Reyes of Reyes Haircutters, Chit Juan of Figaro Coffee, Filemon Barbasa of Filbar’s, Rommel Juan of Binalot, Ardy Roberto of Salt & Light Ventures and Richard Sanz of Bibingkinitan.

“Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the Philippine economy, as they provide employment to millions of Filipinos. This is one way for us to recognize the entrepreneurial achievements of SME owners who have shaped the local economy,” says Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng, president and group general manager of Summit Media.

To qualify for the ENTREPRENEUR 10 awards, a nominee must have the following:

• Must be a Filipino citizen of good moral standing;

• The business must have been in operation for at least five years;
